Expanding Our Impact
Our visionary new facility will be a living hub for education, stewardship and coexistence.
Through expanded educational programming, interactive exhibits, school partnerships and hands-on learning experiences, it will enable us to engage with significantly larger audiences and empower future generations to become advocates for wildlife and wild spaces.
At the heart of this initiative is an unwavering commitment to wolf Conservation and welfare. Expansive, naturalistic habitats will provide resident wolves with enriching environments to support both physical and behavioral well-being. Visitors will experience these extraordinary animals in ways that inspire empathy, understanding and respect and, above all, will leave with a greater sense of connection.
The Guardians of the Wild program will also dramatically enhance our ability to care for wildlife through the development of cutting edge medical and support facilities. These advanced spaces will strengthen veterinary care, support conservation focused animal management and create new opportunities for education, collaboration and conservation science.
In addition, for the first time in our history, the California Wolf Center will expand its educational mission to include other California native apex predators including mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes and foxes. Through immersive habitats and interpretive experiences, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of how these species help maintain ecological balance and why protecting them is essential to preserving California’s biodiversity.
