Nestled in the mountains of Julian, 50-year-old conservation nonprofit California Wolf Center (CWC) has long flown under the radar. With its new capital campaign, the organization intends to lead the pack.

After purchasing a 28-acre property close to its existing site for $2 million, CWC is launching Guardians of the Wild, a $3 million capital campaign to build a conservation and education campus dedicated to wolves and other native apex predator species in California.
